Despite it being quiet on the IMW front so far in 2010, In Malice's Wake have remained incredibly busy. In the upcoming show - 'The THRASHENING', In Malice's Wake will play alongside some of Melbourne's best thrash acts and are proud to be unveiling 2 devastating new tracks - don't miss this huge show!
Monday - 09/11/09 - Interstate wrap up and many thanks!
October has been a mammoth month for In Malice's Wake. On the tail of the Brisbane/Gold Coast shows, IMW have played their first shows to killer crowds in Canberra and Adelaide, as well as playing a long awaited all ages show.
A small excerpt of a review by Metalheads United Australia wrote the following of the Canberra show:
"Melbourne band, In Malice's Wake played next surprising the crowd with their thrash metal yet very unique style. In Malice's Wake played a very strong set and clearly know how to interact with their audience. Their set featured songs off their debut full length album 'Eternal Nightfall' which was amazing to get the chance to hear live. This 4 piece band left a great first impression in Canberra on and off stage."
Special thanks must go out to Mousey Mike in Brisbane for organising the show, as well as to Empyrean for looking after us with gear. Thanks to Kent in the Gold Coast for organising that show there. In Canberra, to Pete and the Templestowe crew, who both organised the killer show and sorted us out with gear also. In Adelaide, major thanks to Jason - Truth Inc. for organising the show and the guys from Imminent Psychosis for gearing us up and partying with us afterwards. Lastly, huge thanks to Tim Charles - Welkin Entertainment for facilitating and getting us onboard with these shows, and the majority of the shows this year. 2009 has well and truly been a great year for In Malice's Wake.
We are currently holed up and are well and truly in writing mode - the last few shows have seen the latest In Malice's Wake track - "The Crawling Chaos" - debuted live and there are further devastating tracks well on their way. Slowly but surely Album #2 is creeping closer...
In other news Dave is also an official endorsee of Jackson Guitars, IMW will feature on the Jackson website shortly. The Images page of the site has been updated with the East Brunswick Club photos, as well as our Canberra show at the Basement. This is the first official set to include Luke on bass also, so check it out!
We'd like to thank everyone for the support that we have been shown this year thus far, extra thanks to those who have made the various interstate trips with us - it has been a blast.
Saturday - 19/09/09 - Jackson Endorsement and Massive Upcoming Shows!
In Malice's Wake are proud to announce that Shaun is now an official Jackson endorsee! After years of abusing the Kelly, Shaun is stoked to have an official partnership with the company.
This coincides with the latest gig announcement - an Adelaide show on the 30th of October! Already having announced an All Ages on the 2nd and a Canberra show on the 10th - October is shaping up to be a monster month for In Malice's Wake.
In the wake of the successful Brisbane shows, these new dates enable IMW to promote the Eternal Nightfall album to an increasingly widespread Australian audience.
We greatly appreciate the killer Vic crowds we've seen at the recent Festival of the Frog and Lord shows also. This year has hands down been the most successful for the band and we look forward to bigger things on the horizon!

Welkin Entertainment Presents
A TRIPLE CD LAUCH!
EYEFEAR
IN MALICE’S WAKE
BLACK ORCHID (SA)
with
EYE OF THE ENEMY and NOTHING
Date: Saturday, February 7
Venue: The Esplanade Hotel, St.Kilda
Doors: 8pm
Entry: $15
Launching their latest album ‘The Unseen’, Melbourne’s own progressive/melodic metal titans, EYEFEAR, have once again raised the bar. A collection of fantastic, moving and powerful songs that showcase the ever impressive Danny Cecati on vocals and feature a great sense of melody, ‘The Unseen’ is a must have album for any fan of progressive, melodic and/or power metal. Always outstanding live, Eyefear will be headlining this huge event featuring 5 great bands, three of which are launching new releases!
Spanning years in the making, IN MALICE’S WAKE are launching their debut album, ‘Eternal Nightfall.’ Featuring ten tracks of relentless, destructive thrash, complete with a twin guitar attack, fearsome vocal work, memorable songwriting and an instantly recognisable sound.
Formed in early 2007 from the ashes of Adelaide gothic metal band Chalice, the members of BLACK ORCHID (SA) present their music to the world stage through the release of their debut recording ‘Inertia’. Incorporating the passion of Nightwish, the drama of Opeth and the atmospherics of Pink Floyd, Black Orchid’s ‘Inertia’ combines all the right elements for a band on the verge of great things.
Joining our three CD launch bands on the night will be Eye of the Enemy (opening the evening) and Nothing (playing the late show).
